WHAT’S A TINTO?
In Colombia, a tinto is a cup of smooth black coffee. It’s the first thing you’re offered when you visit someone: a warm invitation to sit down, have a chat and stay a bit longer.
Studio Tinto is the trading name of award-winning animator Alex Amelines, me. I’m always happy to brainstorm ways to bring your project to life, from concept to finished animation, preferably over a nice cup of tinto. ☕️
For over 20 years I’ve been crafting educational films, awareness content for charities, and large-screen animation for museums and exhibitions. I also create corporate work for some of the world’s leading financial and professional services brands.
I’m also the human behind Amazing Things Happen, my neurodiversity project, which is well worth a look.
When I’m not animating for clients I like to tinker in my workshop. You can see (and buy 💰) my works right here.
THINGS MY LOVELY
CLIENTS SAY
Alex is a great head and pair of hands. In fact 3, 4, 5 pairs of hands in one. His ability to integrate storytelling is great.
Alex animated some of my drawings for a short series of amusing cartoons. They were so successful we included them on DVD that came with my Monograph 'Pens Are My Friends'
Alex has never failed to deliver an excellent product. He is professional, easy to communicate with and always works to agreed timelines and budgets.

SAY HELLO
From my studio in Hertfordshire, England I work with clients from all over the world. Regardless of your location, budget or animation needs, don't hesitate to reach out.
